Unlocking High-Grade Steel Potential: Strategic DRI/HBI Investment Opportunities in North Africa
In the last few years, there has been a push to use more ore-based metallics in developed countries, mainly due to the need to dilute scrap residuals for the production of high-grade steel in the EAF route. At the same time, there has been diversification in the gas-based DRI technology field in terms of gas utilized in the production of DRI/HBI to meet customer needs and environmental constraints. Developing investment opportunities for DRI/HBI @ 5 million tons finished product in North Africa as a strategic location for access to natural gas reserves, strategic positioning relative to European and turkish markets as well as mills offtakers.
